We sat down with AndRena Johnson, designer of AndRena Nikol to ask her some questions about her up and coming brand. Even though we are in the throes of the transition from Fall to Winter (in the Northern Hemisphere anyways), that doesn't mean we can't start dreaming of next spring and all the fashion possibilities that could bring.
Pantone has released their top colors for next season allowing us this bit of fantasy and respite. And the palette they've selected is in itself dreamy, muted and ethereal but also balanced with brights and down to earth classics, allowing us to soar into ultra-femininity on those days we feel light and effervescent, but then on the days we are feeling more anchored to reality there are colors that allow us to be more utilitarian. There is also no reason we can't start incorporating some of these colors into our fall/winter palette through accessories such as scarves and hats or a bright fuzzy sweater. It connects the awareness of social and environmental responsibility with the appreciation of wearing and acquiring beautiful, well-made, and lasting clothing and accessories.
